Teravista Elementary Leadership Academy

Thank you to everyone who attended our first-ever Reading Under the Stars event!

It was a wonderful evening at Teravista, reading children's stories in English and several other languages. Students could wear pajamas, eat snacks, and the Book Fair was open late!

We are so appreciative of our Teravista community, and look forward to many more nights under the stars with you!

Children's Author Mac Barnett visited Teravista this week! He spoke to our students about creativity, innovation, and the writing process, inspiring our students to become passionate readers and dedicated writers.

Help the Round Rock Area Serving Center (RRASC) food pantry provide groceries to families in our community this holiday season.

How to Donate Food:

The Annual Food Drive asks for donations of canned and non-perishable food.
- When: The drive runs from November 3rd to November 14th.
- Where: Drop off your food donation at your child's Elementary, Middle, or High School within the Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD)

If you prefer a financial donation, your contribution is tax-deductible. The Serving Center is currently assisting 1,200 families per month.

You can donate in the following ways:

- Online: Donate at www.rrasc.org.
- Mail: Make checks payable to RRASC and mail them to: Round Rock Area Serving Center, P.O. Box 5006, Round Rock, TX 78683-5006.

Keep Round Rock Warm: Coats for Kids Project

Did you know that students who attend Round Rock ISD and are enrolled in the Free or Reduced Lunch Program qualify for a free coat?

Unity Day is Wednesday, October 22nd!

Did you know that 1 in 5 children reports being bullied at school in the United States?

Take a stand to prevent bullying and wear orange to raise awareness on Wednesday, October 22nd, for Unity Day.

The signature event of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, individuals, schools, and communities are encouraged to wear the color orange to demonstrate their commitment to kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, to help prevent students from being bullied.

We had our first student-led Synergy Rally, focusing on Habit 1: Be Proactive. Students shared ways that they are Proactive.

Being proactive means taking responsibility for our words, actions, and choices. We recognize that we have the power to positively impact our own lives.

Ask your students how they are being proactive, and remember our mission, Tiger Families: to Learn, Love, and Lead.

Our Spring Book Fair is April 29th-May 2nd. The book fair will be open until 4:00 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, until 7:00 pm on Thursday, and will close at 12:00 pm on Friday. Please remember, any child going to the book fair after school must be accompanied by an adult.
