Thermal Insulators or Thermal Conductors?

Fifth Graders in Mrs. Tracy Ligon’s classrooms examined various materials to determine if they were thermal conductors or thermal insulators. Using laptop computers and the Go! Temp sensors, students could collect real-time temperature data. They could then conclude which materials tested would allow heat (conductor) or not allow heat (insulator) to be transferred. Using technology to teach science concepts can be both motivating and exciting!
