7 Habits for Families
The story goes that a man walked into the woods and saw a lumberjack working hard to saw down a tree.  He had been working all day long at this one tree and he was exhausted.  Finally, the observer asked the lumberjack “Why don’t you stop and sharpen your saw?” “I can’t” replied the lumberjack, “I have too much work to do.  ‘Sharpen the Saw’ is the habit of renewal.  Sometimes we feel as though we just don’t have enough time to stop and ‘sharpen the saw’ in our own lives.  Think of how much better, how much more effective we all could be if we stopped to take care of ourselves.  We must take care of the 4 parts that make us human- body, mind, soul and heart.  Eat together as a family, plan vacations, renew yourself in all areas.  It will keep you sharp so that you are able to practice the other 6 habits effectively.
